PINE BLUFF WASTEWATER
The average home in Pine Bluff uses 350 gallons of water every day! Businesses and manufacturers use much more than this. After use, this water becomes wastewater and must be cleaned and returned to nature. That is the job of the Pine Bluff Wastewater Utility.
We are here to help provide nature’s proven way of cleaning water, and to provide a last defense against the polluting of our precious water supplies. It’s a big job. Each year, Pine Bluff Wastewater Utility treats approximately 5.1 billion gallons of wastewater. We maintain 450 miles of wastewater lines, and operate and maintain 52 pumping stations to move wastewater through the system.
It is a full time job! Not only do we make sure that the wastewater being discharged into the Arkansas River is clean, we are responsible for monitoring local industries, making sure that our wastewater system is kept free from toxic and hazardous waste.
Water is a central component of all living things. Pine Bluff Wastewater Utility is committed to keeping it pure, clean, and of high quality for years to come.
